Michale Buble’s got a new album AND a movie on the way

Following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga yesterday – triple-threating with a movie, album and cookery book – our favourite classic croonerMichael Buble has announced that he’ll be releasing his seventh studio album Nobody But Me on 21 October.

Not only that – the lead single is coming tomorrow (scream!).

And if that wasn’t enough, Michael will be releasing his first movie – Michael Buble Tour Stop 148 – on September 25. It’s a documentary-style film featuring tour footage and plenty of behind-the-scenes access.

Here’s the trailer…

We’ll bring you the single Nobody But Me tomorrow. It was co-written and co-produced by Buble and brace yourselves, as it’s said to “capture the magic” of his other original hits.

Damon Albarn on stage with Gorillaz

Yesterday we brought you the latest track from De La Soul – Greyhounds featuring Usher – one of a host of collaborations on their forthcoming album alongside Little Dragon, Snoop Dogg and Damon Albarn.

Well it seems De La Soul have paid the favour right back again, and – along with Snoop – will feature on Albarn’s next Gorillaz album.

The hip-hop legends previously featured on Feel Good Inc, the lead single from Gorillaz’ second album Demon Days, released back in 2005.

“We love working with him,” Pos, AKA Plug Won, AKA Kelvin Mercer from De La Soul said of Albarn during an interview with The Guardian.

“We actually sat down with Damon two weeks ago and he played us some of the new Gorillaz album, and it sounds amazing.

“He played us a track that he wants us to get off on his album so we got to get in the studio and put that down.”

Some nuggets of info about Gaga’s new single

After an elusive reveal of its title only, Lady Gaga has now given us some tit bits of information about her forthcoming single, Perfect Illusion.

Speaking at iHeartRadio‘s Music Summit in New York, she revealed that the song is a collaboration with super-producer Mark Ronson and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker.

“The song is about modern ecstasy… We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it,” she explained during her appearance.

“I get this sick adrenaline rush every time I hear it.”

Monsters, get ready!

Usain Bolt turns music video star

We all know that Usain Bolt is an excellent mover. And with his retirement from athletics on the horizon, maybe a future as a music video dancer is the obvious next step?

London production duo Arch Birds have revealed the video for their debut single Be The Fastest, and it features the fastest man on the planet, alongside the vocals of Vanessa Haynes.

The song was inspired by Bolt, and filmed in Jamaica. I guess the big question now is whether this track will Be The Fastest to the top of the charts…

Oasis unveil reworked vid for D’You Know What I Mean?

Here’s today’s blast from the past. Let’s go back to 1997 and have a watch of Oasis‘ music video for the anthem D’You Know What I Mean?

Notice a difference? That’s because it’s been reworked in HD with a bit of previous unseen footage too.

The video’s directors Dom & Nic said of the experience…

The 35mm film from the original shoot had been stored safely in the Oasis archive, which meant we could go back to the original film to re-master and recreate the video. This was the film equivalent of finding the band’s long lost studio master tapes in pristine condition. During the process of re-editing we discovered even more powerful performance moments from the band, more epic helicopter shots and a new pacing with greater drama and energy than before.

Kaiser Chiefs share new track and announce tour

Kaiser Chiefs

Danny North

Kaiser Chiefs have shared a new song from their forthcoming album Stay Together, which is due in October.

It’s called Hole In My Soul and – like lead single Parachute – has a definite Pet Shop Boys vibe and poppier sound, not least because it was produced by Brian Higgins (Pet Shop Boys, Xenomania, Girls Aloud) and mixed by Serban Ghenea (The Weeknd, Rihanna, Beck, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake).

Take a listen below…

The band – who play V Festival this weekend – have alsoannounced a tour kicking off in February 2017.

We caught up Ricky and Peanut last month, who told us they’d “entered a new chapter” and explained the thinking behind the band’s direction.

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney fans hungry for a new album shouldn’t have too long to wait… the singer’s just confirmed he’s back in the studio working on a new album, after signing a new worldwide record deal with Capitol Records.

Macca seems very happy about it too, as he and the label have history…

“This is genuinely exciting for me,” he said in a statement. “Not only was Capitol my first US record label, but the first record I ever bought was Gene Vincent’s Be-Bop-A-Lula on the Capitol label.”

Expect to hear more from Macca’s back catalogue soon too, as they’ve got plans in the works to be announced next year.

They’ll be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band’s iconic album, A Night At The Opera.

Annie has also just confirmed she’s scaling back on gigs over the next few months – and will sadly miss her first Bestival ever this year – as she’s pregnant again. Congrats!

It’s the first time I will ever miss it. I am very sad. Cutting down on gigs because I’m pregnant X

She hinted at a new year due date for her second child with fellow DJ Toddla T, captioning this Instagram post with the words: “It’s all about the XL tees from here until January”.

Evanescence’s Amy Lee is releasing a children’s album

Remember Evanescene? The multi-platinum rock band’s track Bring Me to Life totally dominated the summer of 2003.

Now the band’s lead singer, Amy Lee, is showing a more tender side by releasing her first children’s album, Dream Too Much.

The 12-song LP – which features songs like Sesame Street’s Rubber Duckie – is going to be released exclusively on Amazon Music on 30 September.

Lee told Rolling Stone that the album was inspired by her two-year-old son Jack and began as a “studio-time present to her father, a guitar player, who always played music in the Lee home.”

Dad has always been talking about making some kid songs for Jack to have later in life. [My husband suggested] ‘You guys should just do it, get in the studio together, you’ve never been in the studio together, you’re both musicians’… I’m very proud of it and it was very fulfilling to be able to do that together. I’m always looking for ways that I can expand myself creatively and this was a surprise. This kind of came out of a very random place and a very pure place. It was just for ourselves and it turned into something really beautiful.

If you (or your child) fancies a preview to the record, here’s the title track…

Kanye West announces pop-up merch stores this weekend

Kanye West

Kanye West fans might want to re-jig their plans for the weekend a bit, after the rapper announced a global string of pop-up merchandise shops will be, um, popping up in cities around the world.

The 21 Life of Pablo stores are dotted around North America, Australia and Europe as well as Cape Town and Singapore, and their exact location will be revealed exactly 24 hours before they open on this here map.

European cities hosting the stores – which will sell merchandise from Yeezy’s latest album Life of Pablo – include London, Amsterdam and Berlin.

Kanye’s thought to have sold a million-dollars’ worth of merch at the Life of Pablo pop-up in New York earlier this year, which he’s since taken to Los Angeles and Paris.

According to Vogue, fans will be able to pick up t-shirts and hoodies personalised to each city in the Life of Pablo font. Expect to queue…

Katy Perry reflects on dangers of Twitter

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has surpassed 90 million followers on Twitter, making her the single most followed person on the social media platform since its inception 10 years ago.

In a recent interview with Mashable, she’s been reflecting on the minefield that Tweeting has become…

There’s a meme, a Mission: Impossible laser meme with someone trying to get through a laser. That’s what it’s like trying to tell a joke in 2016. I think everyone feels a little on edge saying anything. Sometimes you feel like you have to read all the news before you can say anything.

And when you have 90 million fans hanging on your every word, one wrong move is all it takes.

When you have a lot to lose you get a bit careful because the bigger you are the harder you fall. So you just kind of have to learn how to bob and weave. I think the whole world has become a little on edge over what you can and cannot say. And it’s not just me, it’s anyone.

Perry’s single Rise has been soundtracking the Olympics over in the US.

In all the excitement of telling you about Lady Gaga’s new single (Perfect Illusion, produced by Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker’s Tame Impala) and film role (A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper) yesterday, we somehow neglected to share this week’s other VERY important Gaga news that she has also been busy in the kitchen.

The multi-tasking star has teamed up with dad Joe Germanotta to release a new cookbook inspired by his New York City restaurant Joanne Trattoria.

She’s writing the foreword for the book, Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes From an Italian American Restaurant, which will feature family stories and anecdotes along with recipes.

It’ll be out on 22 November.

Adele pulls out of US show due to a bad cold

A rosy-nosed Adele has posted a video apology to fans after a bad cold forced her to pull out of a date on her US tour.

The singer was due to take to the stage in Phoenix, Arizona for a second night, but the sniffles got in the way.

She told fans: “I’m really, really sorry. I’ve had a cold for a couple of days and I’ve been pushing through it… but I pushed too hard and my cold has gotten the better of me.”

A bunged-up and emotional Adele continued: “I’m so sorry to let you down,” adding: “I will come back and I’ll smash it for you.”

She’s due to play two LA dates this weekend and has more dates planned around the US before she rounds off the world tour in Mexico City in November.

Tributes are being paid to Nine Inch Nails’ James Woolley

Yesterday we reported the sad news that James Woolley, who was once the keyboardist for the rock band Nine Inch Nails had died.

The band’s founder and singer Trent Reznor, has issued a statement to Rolling Stone paying tribute…

Terrible news regarding James. I hadn’t crossed paths with him for some time, but always thought of him fondly. He was a fun character to be around, a solid musician and a genuinely good guy. Those of us from that era of the band have been sharing ‘James’ stories … lots of laughs and love and sadness. Wishing his family the very best.

The Grammys also posted a tribute on social media:

Good morning

A warm welcome to today’s Music News LIVE page, where we’ll be bringing you everything from Kanye West’s creative new merch to Paul McCartney’s record deal – and we’ll be hearing from poor Adele, whose US tour is the latest victim of the common cold.

It was all go yesterday, especially for Lady Gaga, who confirmed new music AND her first lead movie role. Catch up on Wednesday’s page for the details plus news from John Newman, Britney, Drake, Taylor Swift, Regina Spektor and Lower Than Atlantis to name a few…

heakthy guy, and so a man who doesn’t desire testosterone but takes
it aanyhow is only subject to potential hazzard of treatment.

  6. Testosterone enhances the dilation of coronary arteries, arreries supplying blood to heart muscles,
thus increasing blood circulation and falling blood pressure.
